What is HEPA Filter Box?

A HEPA Filter Box, also called the HEPA filter terminal, or The HEPA Filter Terminal Housing, is a conventional method of integrating HEPA Filters into ductwork systems for high-quality clean air distribution. This terminal filtration device, featuring an inserted HEPA filter, is utilized in the construction and renovation of various class clean rooms.

HEPA, which stands for “high-efficiency particulate air [filter],” can potentially eliminate at least 99.97% of airborne particles sized 0.3 microns (µm), including dust, pollen, mold, and bacteria. A new HEPA filter typically has a pressure drop of 25 mm of water (about 0.24 kPa), and replacement is recommended when the pressure drop increases to 2–4 times this value.

Ordinary HEPA Filter Terminal Box

HEPA Filter Terminal Box is used as a terminal filtration ISO 3 to ISO 6 clean rooms and it is the key equipment composed of a static pressure box, a HEPA filter, a filter casing, and a diffusion type(diffuser) orifice plate. It has the advantages of a beautiful shape, simple structure, and simple construction.

Gel Seal HEPA Filter Terminal Box

Gel Seal HEPA FilteTerminal is based on the ordinary HEPA box, to increase its sealing and uniqueness. The special jelly glue is efficiently used as the sealing groove, which is nested with the knife edge around the box to form an airtight seal. It is equipped with a PAO detection port, which has the advantages of good sealing, beautiful shape, simple structure, and easy construction.

HEPA Filter Box with side flange air inlet

The “side flange air inlet” refers to the specific design feature where air enters the filter box from the side through a flange. This configuration allows for efficient and controlled air intake, ensuring that the air passing through the HEPA filter is effectively purified.

HEPA Filter Box with Air Damper

The “air damper” is a device used to control or regulate the flow of air within a ventilation or air conditioning system. In the context of a HEPA filter box, the air damper allows for the adjustment of airflow rates. It can be manually or automatically controlled to achieve the desired air circulation.

Configuration Option

  • According to material: Powder coated steel ,Polish SUS 201/304/316; Mirror SUS 201/304/316
  • According to air supply requirements:
Side Air Supply: side flange air inlet and lower diffuser plate air supply
Top Air Supply: top flange air inlet, lower diffuser plate air supply.
  • According to flange: square flange duct, round flange duct.
  • According to valve: Square manual control valve. Round manual control valve. Bottom regulating valve.
  • According to diffuser: mesh steel plate, mesh/louver hole steel plate, gauze uniform flow film, louvers, etc

Applications

These HEPA filter boxes are commonly used in cleanrooms, laboratories, healthcare facilities, and other environments where maintaining a high level of air cleanliness is crucial. The side flange air inlet design provides flexibility in installation and airflow management, making it suitable for various applications in controlled environments. and The inclusion of an air damper provides flexibility in adjusting ventilation rates based on operational needs.
