Static Pass Box
Description
A static pass box(SPB), also pass-through box, is an essential component utilized in controlled environments, specifically clean rooms, to facilitate the transfer of materials between two rooms with similar cleanliness levels, or different clean level areas. It can prevent air in the lower clean area from entering the higher clean area effectively. This pass box is strategically designed to minimize personnel movement during the transfer process. Unlike its counterpart, the Dynamic Pass Box, which serves the purpose of transferring materials from uncontrolled to controlled environments, the Static Pass Box is installed exclusively between two clean room areas.
Characterized as a passive pass box, the Static Pass Box does not incorporate an air supply or extraction system. Instead, it relies on its design to maintain cleanliness levels. Equipped with ultraviolet (UV) light, this pass box ensures an additional layer of disinfection.
Primarily considered an auxiliary device for clean rooms, the Static Pass Box plays a crucial role in transferring small items between areas with varying levels of cleanliness, including transitions between clean and non-clean areas. The primary objective is to minimize the frequency of clean room openings, consequently reducing the potential for contamination to the lowest possible level. Overall, the Static Pass Box serves as a vital element in maintaining the integrity and cleanliness of controlled environments.
The pass box interior boasts durable stainless steel construction, offering a flat, tidy, and resilient surface. Cold rolled steel or stainless steel comprises the pass box exterior. Dual doors feature mechanical or electronic interlock devices, preventing simultaneous opening to uphold airtightness. Special seal stripes ensure superior airproofing. Additionally:
- UV sterilization lamps ensure efficient sterilization.
- Electronic interlocking devices on both door sides prevent concurrent opening.
- An operation panel employs a touch switch for user convenience.
- Circular corners adhere to clean room principles.
- The transmission window, crafted from stainless steel, offers smooth, wear-resistant performance.
Door seals utilize silicone rubber inflatable strips, boasting resilience and resistance to various conditions. - When closed, the airtight transfer window’s inner cavity achieves absolute sealing.
- The outer casing of the airtight transfer window ensures absolute sealing without panel disassembly.

Application
Pass boxes are usually located on partition walls of cleanrooms, situated between the clean room and adjacent area, features dual doors allowing access from each side. These doors, interconnected electrically, permit only one to open at a time, preventing air exchange between rooms. This setup reduces the need for frequent clean room door openings during material transfer, preserving cleanliness. Additional steps include connecting power supplies, sanitizing with Isopropyl Alcohol, verifying UV light functionality, and ensuring only one door is open during transfers.
