Description

A ceiling Laminar Airflow (CLAF) unit is an air purification containment equipment module utilizing a zoned unidirectional (laminar) downflow supply of air to positively pressurize and purge the working environment from potential contaminants; thereby providing enhanced aseptic work zones for maintaining process integrity and/or product protection. These units are commonly installed in the ceilings of cleanrooms, operating rooms, and other critical environments where maintaining high levels of air cleanliness is essential. And also interated with PVC curtain or Stainless Steel workstation as Laminar flow hoods that provide a continuous stream of HEPA-filtered air, creating a clean and contamination-free workspace.

  • Laminar Flow:

The CLAF unit provides a unidirectional airflow, typically moving vertically from the ceiling towards the floor. This laminar flow minimizes turbulence and helps to consistently remove airborne contaminants from the working area.

  • High-Efficiency Filters:

CLAF units are equipped with High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters or Ultra-Low Penetration Air (ULPA) filters, capable of trapping particles as small as 0.3 microns with an efficiency of 99.99% or higher. These filters ensure that the air delivered into the cleanroom is free of particulates.

  • Fan Systems:

Integrated fan systems draw air from the surrounding environment, passing it through the HEPA or ULPA filters. The filtered air is then directed downward in a laminar flow pattern.

  • Containment and Positive Pressure:

The CLAF unit utilizes a zoned unidirectional downflow supply of air to positively pressurize and purge the working environment from potential contaminants. This containment ensures enhanced aseptic work zones for maintaining process integrity and/or product protection.

  • Clean Environment:

By providing a continuous stream of clean air, CLAF units help to maintain the required cleanliness levels in critical areas, reducing the risk of contamination in sensitive processes or surgeries.
